dr hab. prof. UW Marcin Napiórkowski

A semiotician and professor at the Institute of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw. His research focuses on cultural history, collective memory, and the role of storytelling in community building and decision-making. Author of dozens of academic articles and seven monographs, including *Contemporary Mythology*, *The Uprising of the Dead* (nominated for the Jan Długosz Award, finalist for the Kazimierz Moczarski Award), Turbo-Patriotism, and Fixing the Future (finalist for the Tischner Award and the Marcin Król Award). He also enjoys trying his hand at other genres: he ran the blog mitologiawspolczesna.pl, co-created the well-received musical 1989 and several other plays, as well as the audio series Narutowicz. Since September 2024, he has been the director of the Museum of Polish History.
