Rules for using artificial intelligence at Sektor 3.0
How do we use artificial intelligence at Sektor 3.0?
At the editorial team of the Sektor 3.0, we want to create content that is reliable, clear, and useful for people engaged in social activities. Artificial intelligence helps us in our work, but it does not replace authors. Below we describe the rules we follow every day.
General rules
When creating content with the use of AI, we follow four simple rules:
- Transparency in the use of AI – we always openly inform readers when we have used AI tools for support.
- AI is only a support – AI does not create content on its own. The final form of the material belongs to the author and the editorial team.
- Verification of AI outputs – everything created with the help of AI is always checked by a human (facts, meaning, logic, language).
- Editorial standards – the editorial team creates, updates, and is responsible for internal standards for using AI.
What do we use AI for?
AI helps to prepare and organize materials, but it does not replace authors. We use it in the following areas:
- Research – searching for and organizing sources, identifying main themes in large sets of data/texts, background research, brainstorming topics.
- Transcription and translation – transcribing interviews/recordings and creating initial translations, which we then edit.
- Structuring content – organizing notes and scripts, creating outlines and working summaries.
- Editing – paraphrasing, language corrections, simplifying style, formatting – always reviewed by the author.
- SEO – keyword research and optimizing texts for search engines (e.g. meta title, descriptions, headings).
What do we not do with AI?
We consciously avoid actions that could reduce the credibility of content or violate rights and privacy:
- We do not create synthetic audio or video content.
- We do not treat AI as a source of facts and we do not quote AI as an authority. We always confirm facts in trustworthy sources.
- We do not send personal data or materials to AI tools if we do not hold the rights to them (including content covered by licenses or confidentiality).
- AI never publishes any material on its own. Publication is a human decision, after editorial verification.
How do we care in practice about transparency, security, and privacy?
- We do not enter personal data or works we do not have rights to into AI tools. In case of doubt, we anonymize materials and data or we decide not to use AI.
- We store content and files in line with Sektor 3.0 security policies and the licenses of their owners.
What is the editorial team responsible for?
- The author and the editorial team, not the tools, are responsible for the content and legal compliance of the materials.
- The editorial team creates, updates, and enforces standards for using AI so that they are consistent, safe, and easy to understand.
- AI does not influence the editorial line, the mission, or the priorities of the team.
- Editorial standards – the editorial team creates, updates, and is responsible for internal standards for using AI.
